Sven Runger was born in Germany in 1967.  He is a graduate of Dusseldorf's Kunstakademie, and spent many years in Pietrasanta, Italy, learning to work with marble and stone from Italian master stone carvers.

Mr. Runger divides his time between Dusseldorf and Italy where he works and gives workshops.
